• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

How much for that rear fender?

There is gonna be no parts to sell for engines, no more lovely CARBS, or transmissions ... EFI issues? ELEC might make lots of our current stuff obsolete quickly .. These bikes will open up alot more than meets the eye ....Someone (not consumers :) ) is not gonna like that ...

Dealerships here sell bikes and do service .. They don't keep many parts on hand I think .. That business model might can work world-wide if these bikes are as simple as they appear... Takes alot of load off the local dealer to have parts on hand ...

Is Honda in this race to ELEC bikes?

This bike is not a replacement for internal combustion bikes, but just another option for some riders and situations. It will work for you or it won't, but for me it will.

I mainly ride in small locations, for short periods of time. My bike rides around with me in the back of my Sprinter, most of the time while I'm working. If I have a break between appointments and I'm near a spot I can ride... I'm in the woods! I also hit my practice loop, at the end of day after work. An E-Ride will work well for me and open up some new ride opportunities.

I envy people like Kelly and others, who get to ride endless tracks for days. When I race and get to ride longer distances, I'll still have internal combustion!

That downhill track i wonder how empty the battery was after? And if a mtb rider was on that or racing him.
If you can do that speed uphill too now we are getting somewhere.
Still want one for scoping out sites to ride on without disturbing people at 3am when i cant sleep.

That guy is funny and grumpy! Sounds like he has a bad battery, his idle is a little to low, can't figure out if he is pushing a bike up a hill he can turn around part ways up it and bump start it down. I like how easy it does bump starts though. Almost looks like you could bump start it while pushing it on flat ground,
