• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Knight and BMW call it quits

I love that off road champions web site, for about 3 years i check it twice a day, kinda addicted, good euro/usa enduro news.

I'm sure he got fed up with the mechanical issues and probably did say "see ya". Although I'm not keeping up with the WEC lately and not sure how Salminen's doing.

Juha had Day 1 and Day 2 Podiums (2nd place both days) at last WEC. He obviously was able to find the set up he needed over the 4 week break between Italy and Finland. Maybe top step soon, but Aubert on the KTM seems totally dialed.

You had to remind me didn't you? :busted:

Too bad he wasn't riding a Husky, cause I'm sure a teammate would have loaned him their bike. :applause:

:busted: I was so bummed...had some good footage too because me and a friend had a bet to see who could soak another friend with mud first.

I find it mildly amusing.:bonk:

:D

I bet it never happens again...I know it won't for me because I think about it every time I put my bike on the trailer.

Well it hasn't yet and I think about that trip every time I load. I never forget my now boots either. I knew a guy once that drove 2 hours to a track to ride and forgot my I mean his boots. :busted:

So, last week I went to the sjer DS and lost my helmet cam(thanks for the reminder Norm:D). And until you just mentioned boots, I had forgotten I had been all loaded up last Sunday morning, loaded up my friends bikes around the corner, and started to pull away when I had an image of my boots sitting in my garage flash in my mind. Damn glad I remembered right then or I would've missed the event(though I'd still have my helmet camera).
