• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The score now sits at Jimmy Lewis 2 John and Matt still at zero. We went back out today to finish where we had hour out on race day. Well after 4 plus hours and about another 10 miles we called it a day. The good news is we now have almost all of the super hard stuff done. Just a few more hills and a sprint across the open desert to the FINISH. O we are going to FINISH it might take us 4 times the time and 3 tries but we are going to Finish. How else are we going to see the whole course no quitting now the finish is almost there. All I have to say is no wonder only 2 experts finished and 2 teams on trails bike. Those guys are super, the few pros who finish well that is why they are world class riders.
I have all of it on video and so far I have not seen anyone post footage from where we were today The stuff was insane Jimmy Lewis is a mad man There was a canyon called Hell to Pay all down hill It took us almost 2 hours just to get down it but we did and we are going back next sat to finish
Then I will be a happy finisher Stay tune the footage is super Stuff you will never see again as the us army has it now
