• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

kinda crazy imo

Well your truck exhaust is bent out of crap tube steel by a dude making $8 an hour and welded to a crap steel muffler built in china that they make millions of. On the other hand you bike get ty, SS, carbon, variable size tubing that they only make a few of. Time and materials baby.

got to say if they made bike exhaust that withstood the kind of beatin my trucks has id go ahead put the cheap stuff on the bike too.

Been there done that! Automotive tube and glass packs on my SL350 in 1977. Best/worst trick was garden hose stuck in the outlet of my 1975 CR250 with 10' dragging on the ground. Made is as quiet as a lawnmower so I could get to the edge of town. Toss it in the bushes until I came back headed for home:D

I wish I would have thought of that. I had an on going cat and mouse game going with the city police. It got to the point where a squad car used to sit in front of my house with a policeman doing his paperwork I would push my bike up the street and once out of sight hop on start it and go for the prairie. There would be a squad car waiting somewhere along my many routes at least once every 2 weeks and then the race was on. It's a wonder I turned out to be a law abiding citizen.;)

Ever notice the price difference between 2T pipes and 4T pipes? You can get a whole 2T system for the price of just a slip on 4T.
