    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I bought it as a DS tire for my TE511. First one ended up on my 02 CR250 husky after a flat and I destroyed the tire. I always wanted to try it as an off road tire so tossed it on my 250 and run 6 psi. I really like it. So the other day I got another one and tossed it on my TE511 where the first one was supposed to go. Love it on that bike int he dry so far. Works great. Much better than i had hoped really. All off road so far. Rode in some wet and was actually surprised how well it did in the mud. Bought it as a summer DS tire but might see more use than that for me as I like them more than I thought. Worthy experiment. I ride a ton so am always looking for long lasting setups even if I might need to compromise some on traction at times. this one seems to split the long lasting and good traction well for me so far.
 
Well just finished a 2hr hare scramble with a Washougal front and a millville 2 rear in the soft direction. Front @ 11psi and rear at 7psi (tubliss). The track was good black dirt, some sand and some light clay dirt with moist ground some mud spots that eventually rutted.
So this was a surprisingly good set up, I was nervous about the front being a "intermediate" tire but man did it handle everything! I only got sketchy up front once on a steep slow down hill that was full of grass and mud but I think most if not all front tires would have done the same. The rear was like Velcro on roots and rocks, was very predictable and had great grip even on the flat grass track!
It still can't beat my IRC m5b for pure straight line traction but it does as good or better everywhere else and especially better on flat grass track stuff.
Very impressed with these tires and how they feel way better than average on all different terrain, where most tires that cover a broad terrain selection might be OK in spots but are really bad in others.

How does the Millville II wear??
 
So far I only have 5hrs or so on the millville 2 in good dirt with no signs of ware. Key thing being good dirt. With be riding an old quarry this weekend so I should get a better feel for it after that.
 
What tire pressure are guy's running for a Washougal rear in mud, roots & some rocks??
The sidewall seems pretty stiff when I mounted it!
 
Mine (front) felt stiff at 13 psi, I went down to about 11 psi and it seemed better. I wanted to try less but I am afraid of getting flats (basically never get them).

I have since switched to the Bridgestone M59 in the front for rocky races and I think it's a bit better. I will run the Washougal again for sand/intermediate stuff later in the season.
