• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

That's awesome, I think the significant decrease in weight of the bike will make a huge difference for him.:applause:

Off road Champions has a press release on Kearney being signed and Wyat Seals being team manager. Here it is.

GLENN KEARNEY SIGNS WITH HUSQVARNA FOR 2009 GNCC SEASON -WYATT SEALS NAMED TEAM COORDINATOR/MECHANIC
Intent on Winning during 2009 GNCC Season

December 1, 2008 -- Woodcliff Lake, NJ - Australia's Glenn Kearney has signed a contract with Husqvarna Motorcycles North America to compete in the 2009 GNCC Series. The 28-year-old Picton, Australia native is a GNCC veteran having first joined the series back in 2005. Throughout 2008 Kearney contested the series aboard a Husqvarna TXC 450 finishing a very credible 7th overall in GNCC standings. Along the way he logged several top finishes and two podium appearances.

For 2009 Kearny will return to the 13 stop national series with focused intent on capturing his first championship plate.

"2008 was a great first year for me with Husqvarna. We certainly showed the bike was competitive," said Kearney. "Half-way through the season I began working with Wyatt Seals and things only got better. With the focus and support Husqvarna is putting on this years effort and with the commitment and involvement we will be receiving from the Husqvarna factory I am motivated like never before."

Championship tuner Wyatt Seals will turn wrenches for Kearney during 2009. Originally hailing from Texas, Seals now makes his home in Lenoir, NC. Seals has had a long association with stars like Jeff Stanton, Ryan Hughes, and Jeremy McGrath, and he certainly knows the way to the winner's circle.

"When Glenn asked me to help out mid-way through the 2008 season I didn't know what to expect," offered Seals. "Quickly I found the atmosphere at GNCC races was something special; a lot like the early days of motocross. There was serious competition on the track but good natured sportsmanship and camaraderie off of it. I enjoy the grassroots family atmosphere."

Kearney will contest the new Husqvarna WR 300 2-stroke model.

"The new 300 is awesome! It's the perfect combination of lightweight, power and acceleration, and I really think the light weight will work to my advantage as these 3-hour races wear on," said Kearney.

Husqvarna Motorcycles NA President Mark Brady offered his view on the Kearney signing:
Glenn Kearney will contest the GNCC series
aboard the 2009 Husqvarna WR 300.

"We like Glenn's attitude and personality and during the 2008 campaign we learned what a hard worker he is. We really feel that with focused effort on our part we can get Glenn into championship contention. The new WR 300 could be exactly what we need to get our first overall GNCC win."
