• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just trying my new helmet camera out (Go Pro).

Couple of minor issues with it. The clicking noise is the mount so may need a bit of tape or summat but its no great problem. Not sure if i want the camera to point up a bit more maybe???
The convex lense makes the corners not look so sharp, theyre 90 degree corners but because it rounds of the peripheral view it puts like a curve on things apart from directly in front.
Saying all that, i like it :cheers:

You should have got an orange anti rattle rubber deal in the package.

It doesn't work with all the mounts though so I stuff a zipty between the mounts to keep it from clicking when I can't use the orange damper deal.

What camera did you get? The HD or standard wide angle?

There are trees HuskyDude but not quite round there. Its as falt as a pancake aswell which i think shows up the convex lense much more. Im from Wales mate so no one misses the hills and forests as much as i do :)
I didnt get that bit jmetteer, i'll have to go back to where i got it from and get one :)
Im sure i can bodge it whatever. Like i say, it was just a quick blast to get the angle etc sorted. Not to bad, just want to try it somewhere that has scenery now :)

I saw that orange thing and couldn't figure out how to use it. I'll take another look.

...I think someone stole your trees...

Its all crops round here mate as its actually all sea bed that was drained in the 1600's. Quite a strange area really. been living over here for a good few years not but never got used to the flatness of it.
Anyyway, South Lincolnshire Fens if you want to google it, you'll see a lot of names that are used in North East America, Boston being one of them as thats where the founding fathers first set sail from.

Love the video. Nice high quality. Take a look at the one I've attached for a comparison of what crap quality looks like...using a helmet mounted Oregon Scientific camera. Still, any camera is better than no camera!
Sorry, my bro' and I weren't riding Husky's at the time. These were old 70's 400 and 360 MX'ers.
