    WR = 2st Enduro & CR = 2st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Just picked up one of the last new Italian Husky CR125 leftovers - What mods have you done to yours

I Just picked up what was probably one of the last few new Italian Husky CR125 leftovers
last week. (2012 Husky CR125). Bike didn't come with the 144 kit, but I got a great deal
on it.
Will be running it as a stock CR125 for a while in motocross, cross country, and hare scrambles.
Looking for suggestions for handlebars, handguards, skid plate, suspension set-ups etc. Also any mods you've done to your bike.
Feel free to post pictures of your bikes.
Thanks

Im in SJ. I added a 52t rear sprocket, 7602 racing rad guards, Kenda tires. The stock tires suck in the NJ sugar sand

Did you buy from bob at CJC?

I got the OEM skidplate, it's ok and cheap!
I've got a couple of heavier springs for that bike and the Husky/PC Racing pipe and 304 silencer. PM if you're interested.
Mine has bent rad's, so def some EE or 7602 rad braces. I'm 5'11 and got Tag mini high fat bars to open up the cockpit a little.
Stock pipe and FMF TC2 is nice on mine. If you don't need the quiet or spark arrestor the FMF PC2 will fit the stock pipe too.

Take the shock off and have someone go through it, the year I ran mine three other people had them come apart and mine had some trash in it. Nobody had any problems since.
Buy a set of lower rad shrouds just because.

get a lectron carb

It transforms the bike, a smooth throttle response and is not subject to change in settings needed when driving in elevation differences and/or weather changes.

on top of that you do get better mileage.

for me its the first thing I change on a 2 stroke bike.
