• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thanks,

I like Motul or Motorex 15w50 synthetic. Used to run Agip, but it's hard to find around here. Oil changes are super easy on these bikes, and since they don't have a proper filter, frequent changes and screen cleanings are a good idea. They are pretty reliable bikes. The main problems seem to be loose flywheel weights and cam chains, but I've had 3 610's and a 350 without these problems. 2000's have a much improved ignition and stator output. Got any pics?

Want to sell it?

I'm kidding.....man that is sweet looking. Ever since I got my Terra, I've been thinking about a TE...just have to sell car to convince wifey

Thanks guys! I like that it has Swedish DNA in it, kinda of the best of both worlds. It is a blast to ride. Now Clete if you want to trade your car for it we may have to talk...LOL!

Fun bikes. Any good 4 stroke oil should be fine in that beast. My 610 like that was a semi EZ starter. Use the comp release to tick it over TDC and then one nice strong medium speed kick usually did it.

Sure is a sweet looking bike, I've always wanted one of these, either a 410/570/610 version and really like that it's basically the same bike as the original 1st generation Swedish bike. I fancy the idea of putting the 85-87 plastics on one. Anyone done that? I'm sure there's someone here?

I had a 93 610, was a cool bike...

but my 02 TE570 was the beast of all beasts. They chopped 2.5 pounds off the flywheel that year and cammed the motor. Was one of the single fastest dirtbikes i ahve ever owned. Ripped 4th and 5th gear wheelies. That was one fun paint shaker of a bike.

I like that bike photoguy.... Your neighborhood looks a little like Doylestown , thats where I am from . There use to be lots of places to ride there , dont know anymore.

A little late, but regardless, Nice 410! I have the same bike. Second one I've had. Love them. And yes, run 10-40 Amsoil in all my bikes. Works like a champ.

Note: I still need a 570, like ride has had. Sweet machines in their own right.

Happy New Year Ryan!

Thanks Norm! Glad to be back, and it's great to see people still love these older style beasts...:)

Very nice looking bike, photoguy.
I just got one too! Electric start though.
Never had an enduro before. It was cheap, and I thought I'd give it a try. Mid-life crisis...
Love the way it rides!
