• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I think if you re-use the tmx curved cable end on the carb the fit is good. With the stock short, straight cable end from the pwk the cable is too long. That was my experience just like Norman's.

Yep.

I see on your website that you list a 36 pwk. Is this an airstriker also?
Thanks, GP

Yep, same carb just 2mm smaller for more bottom end response.

OK, just bit the bullet on a 36mm pwk. I researched every option and yours is the best deal. I think the 36 is going to work good in the rough, tight, and sometimes steep single track I ride.

Looking foward to your report. I was thinking about the 36, but our terrain alternates from tight to open, so didn't want to give up any top end, so went with a 38.

Maybe Husqvarna will bite the bullet and finally use the Keihin PWK airstriker on all their 2T's. I am going to do some scrap art with all the Mikuni's I have.

Talking to our local KTM guru, he said when KTM switched to the 36mm, they gained bottom but made the same power overall. That is with 200,250,300, I think they still use a 38 or 39 on the 144 for mx.
My Mikuni was working well, but now that it is getting warm, I think it needs re-jetting, so decided to go ahead make the switch, I want it to be the best it can be.
