• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

JD EFI 6X "fuelers" now available at Motosportz

We can ship first class mail for free to Canada but there isn't any tracking and a loose time line. We can ship priority for 15.00 with a better time line and tracking.

There's actually 6 settings with the JD compared to 3 with iBeat.
  1. Idle mixture, throttle closed (like pilot and fuel screw or air screw)
  2. Just off idle, 1/8-1/4 throttle (needle and pilot)
  3. Mid, 3/8 to 5/8 (needle clip, needle, main)
  4. High, WOT (main jet)
  5. Starting point of "Mid" setting, how early or late the mid kicks in, (needle tapers)
  6. Accelerator pump, shot of juice with a quick twist of the throttle.
I've used iBeat on my 2010 TXC 250. The JD tuner is vastly superior in terms of overall adjustment capability, and more importantly, actual results where the rubber meets the road. Hope this helps.

Yes helps, thanks.

Good Morning to all,

I'm new to this site and think I should have been on it along time ago!! Can you change(or do you need too) the ignition timing?

Thanks Chris

not with this JD Tuner, it only changes the fuel timing and duration.

Stupid question but does this work for the 2008 SM450R?
I don't specifically see this model number and year listed.

Just shoot me an Email and we can get it right out to you. If you were wanting to get it elsewhere it is the JDHQX03

Thanks,

Thanks Kelly, my JD 6X showed up yesterday. Can't believe how quick it was. I wll def do business with you in the future. :)

I just installed mine on my 630.

I have the Leo Vince Ti single system, airbox labyrinth removed, and power up kit installed. I also reset my iBeat back to the factory settings.

I left the JD kit settings alone and just took it for a ride as-is. I couldn't really romp on the throttle too hard, since I'm on knobbies and it had just started raining. I could break the tire loose going straight in 2nd gear with just a handful of throttle, though.

So far, it seems to have woken the bike up pretty well. With just the iBeat tune, I still had a hint of deceleration popping (but nothing I couldn't live with). I also had this clatter/knock whenever I would quickly goose the throttle off of idle. All of that is gone.

If anyone has any suggestions for tweaking my settings, I'd like to hear them. So far, I'm happy just leaving it alone.
