• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Jackpine National Enduro

Tony is in Saginaw Hospital and Johnny "Big Dawg" Manning is already home after they amputated what was left of his pinky. I think every "B" rider out there must have beaten me in that first section. LOL. I had some fair rides in the later sections but not great.

Dwight. I was parked behind you.

I honestly thought the 1st section sucked. It wasnt fun at all and with the dust and speed it was borderline dangerous. It got better as the day progressed. I bet I passed 20 guys just sitting on the trail with their helmets off and tongues hanging out. The heat was tough.

No matter what, just getting out and doing/supporting the events are what keeps us and the whole mx/XC/enduro thing alive. Good work to all and sorry for that bad break wreck of your 50A bud, dust sucks we ride in it all spring summer fall long but in most cases (depends on location) we have more bush/rocky like stuff to hit not solid trees. Good on all of you for doing the NEPG events.

Yikes! Sounds like it wasn't a good day for many. I have a friend who was also injured at this race. The good news is the x-rays are negative, the bad news is he sat out in the woods with another injured rider for 4 hours.

Sounds as though the sweepers may have dropped the ball a bit. Hunter Williams sat in the bush for several hours as well.

Damn, You should have spoken and introduced yourself. I don't bite...... hard . LOL

Tony Ligon, the SERA rider that broke his shoulder, didn't have a broken arm afterall. The skilled surgeon in Saginaw managed to put his shoulder back together without a artificial joint. Tony is now home. Big Dawg is doing OK. But we have been thinking of changing his name to "Nubby".
