  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I've got a (Michelin) tire sizing question -->

B Class
I have a 2009 TE 310 with a Michelin 120/90x18 and a Michelin 90/90x21 and am looking for non Michelin brand tires. My question is do I order the conventional sizing that Michelin recommends? Per Michelin; Michelin size 120/90x18 = 100/100x18 Conventional sizing and Michelin size 90/90x21 = 80/100x21 Conventional sizing. So if I order Motoz TRACTIONATOR ENDURO I/T Tires do I want 100/100x18 and 80/100x21 as Michelin recommends? :excuseme:

Those sizes are what were recommended to me by George @ Uptite. I got a Maxxis Desert tire in 100x100x18 and a Bridgestone front 80x100x21. Maybe Kelly knows more about sizing these Motoz tires.

08 TE 250 being up-sized to a 310 next week.

Alkrisma,

If it is me I would put on the 110x100-18. Definitely run your pressures lower on the IT and you will like it. Just had a couple of friends try them and they really liked them. I still think the Terrapactor front is the best of the bunch and just flat works everywhere. 10 psi front and 6-8 psi rear.

thanks Walt. re: the psi, I usually run 14-16. that's way over what you recommend. the 6-8 psi rear won't pinch flat more easily?

Michelin normally are smaller than they list (I think they use some weird system...anyhow)
Motoz....you can run like 6-8 PSI...no bull...no joke....stick like crazy too.
get the 100/100 for rear
I run NETRA events and the Enduro ST is race proven. Awsome in all the stuff NETRA Enduros throws at ya!

The natural rubber of the Motoz allows you to run a nicer softer combo than say with a michelin or Pirelli
They grip very good and on the loam are awsome. If you get down into RI or Ct and some of there sandier areas they rock.
Worked there as well as Berkshires and there is not much rockier than their
