    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Kreig was getting a new CR150 and I was buying his 2010 TC250 and the plan was to meet at Upstate Cycle in Greeneville, SC, about halfway for both of us. About 20 minutes north of Husqvarna heaven, I get pulled over for speeding, and I am thinking, this is going to put a damper on a great day. I told the state trooper I was a little excited because I was going to pick up a new dirt bike, and he says, "Oh, you going down to see Gerald down at Upstate?" My lucky day, the trooper rides a yz426, and he said he was going to let me off with a warning, but he got so excited talking bikes, he forgot to do even that!
On to Upstate and I meet up with Kreig, very nice guy, bike looks great, he is excited checking out the new cr150. we hung out for awhile looking at all the stuff hanging on the shelves, this is an old school dealership, worth the visit. I found parts hanging on the wall for mid 80's Husky's! I also spotted brand new JT racing nose/face guards only 7.95!
So anyway, we were two Cafe Husky members in a candy store enjoying a day off, I headed home with no problems.
Tried the bike at home, starts first kick, rode around the yard a little, feels great.
My wife comes home and she is excited for me, and she says let's go to Hooters!
No man, this is a true story!

It really was a great day for two forum friends hanging out in an old style, Mom and Pop bike shop. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
 
You gotta break from Trooper Cooper! If I got home with a new bike, Mrs would say, when do I go look at another horse? Great, enjoy the new bike, would like to have another 4st!
 
No, if it was only a dream the trail behind my house would not be flooded!
Dartyppyt, no horse, but I was feeling generous enough that she got a new Husqvarna(electrolux) washer and dryer. Costs almost as much as the bike!

Krieg, Yes, got them today, thanks, will put them on this weekend. Got it cleaned up pretty good and the new graphics will set it off. Been staring at it trying to decide what all I want to do to turn it into a woods bike.
And yes, I will venture over to the 4t side with a report when I get it ready.

Eric and I got pulled over coming home Sunday night while pulling the trailer with my SM610 and his LC4 640 on it. The CHP takes our info and walks back to the car and the truck/horse trailer he pulled over at the same time. Pretty soon he walks back to us and says "So, who's riding what bike?" He was a supermoto racer! We didn't get a ticket and drove 55mph the entire way home

Good one guys, our fuzz are just revenue collectors. Not like in the old days when if you had a cheesy explination, were courteous and apologetic you got a 1 minute lecture and sent on your way. Today its show me your lisense, and they punch out a ticket.
