• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

It was -14 this morning, so I brought a Husky 610

Yes, 14 below 0 and the first day of winter is tomorrow. It's going to be a long winter. So I decided this was the day to go shopping and help with a real ballout package and help the little guy. An 08 husky te610 will join the stable along side the 08 husky te510, Bultaco 250 Pursang and Honda SL-70. I will have part company with an old friend (xr650r, very trick) and a V-Strom 650 (a nice street bike but I have regained my insanity). After the funds arrive from the bike sale I will start to develope my 610 ds/adventure tourer. And maybe a set of supermoto wheels that would fit both the 510/610. Even with the windchill it is a pretty nice day.

It's been a long time since I've seen any pictures of Gaylord MI, used to go through that area every year.

(that was a hint LOL)

Congrats on your new bike see if you can snap a few pics to share with all.

-25c or -13f here in Kamloops today.

Just curious but where did you buy your bike. I go riding in Boyne Falls at my parents place and would be good to know where the nearest Husky dealer is, in case i need some parts for mine while i am up there. Congratulations on your new 610 it is a great bike, I love mine.

I will pick up bike in a couple of months from Reinbolts in Reese Mi (just east of saginaw) 989-755-0612 and Nate is the owner. It is in farm country and not a big dealer, instock parts are the basics. Multi line farm type dealer that even has Ural and other cool stuff. But it is a shop and not a mega store and I like that. Santa may bring a digital camera or coal (I hope he does not check his list twice). I will sent pictures of -14 and lots of snow. Boyne area is a great place to ride and home to a great DS Ride (the Chandler Hill Challenge) in sept.
