• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I wore my Ben Smith ISDE shirt today! I wish him the best in Portugal and maybe Husky will consider him for the new National Enduro Team for 2010!

Not to sound east coast parochial but +1 on what norm said for 2010 nationals in Enduro. Odd all was wearing shirts recently as I went to diner with a friend yesterday and wore mine and when we met at resturant......guess what shirt they were wearing too! Looked silly but maybe a good omen ......I hope.
Go Ben!

Great pics as usual from GoFasters.com. Lars Valin on the Gas Gas in the first couple of pics. Ben Smith with Caselli, awesome scenery, and Damon Huffman changing tires. What a week! Wish I was there.

By the way, Ben's bike looks awesome from other pics I have seen from offroadchampions.com.

Thanks for all the pic linmks guys. I would pay my own way to an ISDE just to help the Team USA guys pull the nails out of the crates. Love to be there fosho.

They need all the help they can get. I look forward to attending in Mexico next year to help out whether I qualify or not. It is truly a remarkable experience.

I'm sure they do. Since my focus in life has changed from cycling where I've traveled a lot the world as a supporter of bike racing and triathlons, back to dirt bikes, I'll put the 2010 ISDE on my list of things to do. Just got back from helping out a friend who did a double ironman in VA. Got a 1 1/5 hour nap in 30 hours of his race along with running about 25 of his 52 mile run. It was worth it. Thanks for the note Blue!

Dietriech reportedly out due to mechanical failure.

Now officially listed as disqualified. Probably due to outside assistance. That's a bummer.

I hear Clutch.........catastrophic damage......probably tried to replace something you aint allowed to in a manner your not allowed too (Outside help rule) Well Our throwaway on day 1 is not a good omen

Fred Hoess is 3rd in C1. Too bad Husky couldn't have brought Fred back under the "Tent" for his 20th Six Days. It could have been some good press. Only US Husky rider; ECEA's Ben Smith, is 44th in C2 right behind NETRA rider Billy Burns.
