As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Trooper lu lost the husqvarna franchise so i go to emu plains penrith just look it up he does the lot there serviceing etc.I understand Trooper Lu may be taking up a Yamaha ticket. If so this usually means surrendering an existing makes lisence. It would be good to know what is happening here as we may be running out of Husky dealers in Sydney with Northside up in the air at present.

R&D Husky in Emu Plains is still on board. Rode with Hans Applegren on Saturday and his son Stephan will continue to run the family business. They are good folks and were the original Husky importers into Oz before Feeney.
I find it hard to believe we won't end up with a Husky dealer closer to town. As good as R&D are, I don't have the time to travel that far for parts & service.
Husky's website currently lists only 4 dealers within Sydney, 3 of whom are no longer, leaving just R&D at this stage:
Northside Motorcycles
335 Pacific Highway
ARTARMON NSW 2064
02 9439 3549
Trooper Lu's Garage
3/80 Heathcote Road
MOOREBANK NSW 2170
02 9602 3773
On Two Wheels
304 Queen Street
CAMPBELLTOWN NSW 2560
02 4625 7518
R & D Husqvarna
Unit 2 116 Old Bathurst Road
EMU PLAINS NSW 2750
02 4735 4410
R&D is now the only Sydney region dealer listed on the Husky Australia website. Hard to believe this is the best representation they could secure if they want to drive the brand and business. No offence meant to R&D, rather dismay that there is just one dealer for a city of 4.6 million people? Crazy.
