  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Installing Stock Clutch WR300 HELP

JDJ

Husqvarna
B Class
I bought an 09 WR300 that had a revloc auto clutch put on. I had the bike at the dunes and it appears that I burned up the auto clutch. Bike was running funny and smelled funny. Found metal shavings and a few large metal chunks on my magnetic drain plug when changing oil. Found a few clutch plates that were obviously missing sections. I still have the stock clutch plates. Anyone have a link or a video on how to install the stock clutch? I have never dones this before. Also, now that I know there are some pieces of clutch in the case - what else do I need to do before I can run this thing again? Do I need to take this whole thing apart and clean it out? you can see that some of the teeth on the clutch housing on the bike (not sure what it is called) are scarred a bit. Will that have to be replacedd also? Thanks in advance for any advice and any how to videos. IMG_1109.JPGIMG_1113.JPGIMG_1112.JPGIMG_1110.JPG

short of splitting the cases you need to remove everything you can and clean in paint thinner or kerosene. then flush the cases with same. then fill with ATF start let sit and flush some more then do two oil changes before you ride it and check the plug for fraggs when it comes out clean then ride and cross your fingers. looks like you were dune hopping in 3rd or 4th. also toss your air filter if you rode in sand. its junk now.
