  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Installing Motosportz rad guards how?

Pedec

Husqvarna
Pro Class
I was going to intall some rad guards I bought from Bills Motorsports that I believe are built buy Motosportz. I can not figure out how to get at bolts on front to tighten rad and rad guards to frame. There is no access hole in front of guard to access bolt or I missing something simple. Installing on 2008 cr125 thanks for any help.image.jpg

I put those on my bike and I think the ones I got had the holes drilled incorrectly. I ended up making some additional holes in them to get them to work.

The holes seem to line up fine just how to get at front nut to start or get wrench on to tighten. Any pics might help. Maybe I am just installing them wrong? I also think there is suppose to be support across the back that bolts to back rad mount that are not on mine. Thanks for any help

No those guards don't have any rear support braces. Not being able to get to the mounting bolts is why I had to drill additional access holes.

I did the same and made it work. Why do they not come pre-cut? Wasted a lot of time trying to make it fit before cutting it.image.jpg

They are easy to mount with out making holes. I use a long T wrench or a couple of extensions with a socket and go through the holes provided on the outside of the frame. I should say the round holes not the slotted ones for mounting to the outside of the radiator. It it slightly uphill but that helps hold the bolt in the socket.
