• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Yeah it is pretty scary but for now I am going to work with my F/I today and see if I can get
the idle down and keep the right TPS settings I will let you know.

i wish we could figure out what they are using to tune F/I in s1/s2 supermoto races... they seem to have good running/winning bikes..

B_M_F I'm going to do a little reverse engineering on the
EFI today and I might come up with something for ya.

im praying.. you have me very curious! off subject anyone know what size feeler gauge i need to check the valves? also what shim sizes incase they are loose? If i were a betting man i would guess your going back to carb?

I think I have a way you can set up your F/I with out the I beat I am working on it right now
I will let you know later on today
And I think I am going to stick with the EFI
The carb swap is a lot of changes I think I am gona keep tweaking the EFI
valves 10-15mm intake and 15-20mm exhaust

Alright I thought I might of had something for ya
My thought was that If the tps was set to 100.2%
at WOT,
which in my case yielded a 1001 mv reading
at the TPS setting
and my idle speed is between 1950 and 2150
and my air screw is 3 and 1/2 turns out.

Then why not warm the bike up,
then shut it down,
then set the air screw to 3 and 1/2 turns out from stop,
then start the bike up and set your idle to 2000 rpm
this should set your tps real close to the 100.2% at WOT
and 1001 mv On the TPS
and it does, I have repeated this quit a few times
the problem is with out the ibeat there is no way to except
and save these new values to the ECU.

hmmmm where are you getting the reading for the TPS volts?

I am getting the reading from the I beat, the ibeat reads out mv and WOT%
so you can check one against the other, but the problem is being able to
accept the new mv reading by clicking the set button with the mouse
to make it flash to the ECU
I tried to contact Scot at semco today to see if he ever thought of setting up a
rental program for the ibeat that would give people a option who did not want to buy one
In BC mats EFI tweak it says the way to read the mv with a volt meter
and i think the wires are the black and black and orange wire
I would read there to know for sure
Shoot me your email address and I will send you the ibeat manual
Then things will be a lot more clear as to what is going on.
