  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Info On 2012 Wr300 Pipe And Silencer Combos???

Hi guy! Ive decided to buy a Husky wr300,the 2012 model in the coming spring:cheers:. I wanted to know if any of you guys that have the 2012 ,or 10-11 (i think its the same motor save for some electrical changes I think) have the new pro circuit pipe and silencer on it or any other combos for it,like FMF or CRD. Let me know what it did to the powerband... Thanks!

I have a FMF gnarly with stock silencer and love the combo. Feels like a lot more bottom end, don't really care about topend since I normally race in the woods.

I have a PC 2 and type 296 spark arrestor. I love it. It made the bike run stronger on bottom-mid, and I can still rip it up top too.Would HIGHLY recommend. The only bummer is that Pro Circuit makes it so that you have to use their SA if you get the pipe. But honestly, well worth the money if you are looking for an upgrade

Not the pro circuit type ii and 296 silencer.

Its a pretty restrictive exhaust and requires spot on jetting or it'll feel lazy. I love it in the woods though. Very smooth.

I have an 11 and wouldn't want any more mid to top end. Stock pipe and silencer just better than stock jetting.

I checked on pro circuit's website and there is a platinum version and the platinum 2.... I know that the platinum 2 is for torque, but does anyone have the platinum?

I checked the scalvini exhaust and they are really well made!.I dont know about the performance and if I could even get them in Canada

That is interesting. Mine rips. Really. I have even received that comment from other folks who rode my bike too. Maybe I just got the jetting right....
I actually didn't mind the power on the stocker, except that the expansion chamber would bend from just looking at it the wrong way, and the silencer rivets all fell out. But that being said, I have been super happy with the aforementioned combo. I ride mtn singletrack in the Summer and desert singletrack this time of year. Works great.

I just put on the FMF Gnarly with the Q Stealth silencer on my 2010 WR300. I wasn't looking for any real big surprises, but I was wrong. The bottom to mid did exactly what it was supposed to do. Wow huge difference, except on the top. On top it feels a little flat, so don't drage race any 450 over 100m, lol.

Marcmo - what did you change your jets to after the PC 2? I have this combo on my 250 and I'm thinking my pilot might be too lean, was a bit lazy on the bottom. Thanks

PC platinum II. 296 spark arrestor.

Had it a few rides now. Power gains are good but the real eye opener is its more economical... Getting about 20klm more before reserve. Up to about 100Klm.

Sounds hot too!

Watch it as 720p HD for the real sound!

I just ordered my scalvini pipe and silencer for my 2012 WR300 yesterday. I'll give you a report after I install it next week.

sorry for the super long delay. Hope you got your jetting worked out. I am running the Keihin carb, 38 pilot, jd red needle on 2nd clip, and 160 main. 5k-10k in elevation with temps in the 70's-90's. I also have the Husky high compression head with the pc 2 pipe and silencer. Bike runs awesome

Anyone tried Bigone exhausts, formerly known as Fresco? They look kind of like a SCALVINI. How about DP pipes?
