  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc IMS GAS TANK 3.4 GALON 09-12 WR 300

Same part # as the 05-12 WR250 tank BTW, and verify w/RM. They had the same tank listed for all '09 WRs, and the one they sent was for the 125....

I Emailed Jeff at Halls and he is onto it.

Hope its a proper fit one.

The TC tank with the big gap wont do.

This has a part number but no photo of the tank yet so hopefully thats a sign its a new product.

Will flick IMS an email too and get back to yaz.

Damn....Same part number!!

05-07 Husqvarna TC250 3.4 gal Fuel Tank Part Number:112415-N2

So is the only problem with this tank the aesthetics? Fitment is ok?
fitment is OK. there is a lot of wasted space and you can tell it's just not made for a 2 stroke.Makes the seat tank juncture really wide.

With all the wasted space you get another 1/2 to 3/4 gallon. I was told by the powers that be that no new tank is forthcoming as they would rather spend money on a new tank for the new wr comes out(whenere that is)

Yeah my replies from Clarke, IMS & Safari fell on deaf ears too...No intention of making one.

I ride a TE610 too and the guys on this forum and a couple of others made enough noise for long enough and safari ended up making one for EFI 610's.

Maybe its just a case of us making enough noise...?

I had this same tank on my 06' tc450. It fit like crap on that bike too. That is the exact reason I would rather just put a gallon of fuel in my pack instead of making my bike feel top heavy and wide.

I would go that route, but I would hate to lose a race because of having to pit. Plus my cap/seal is a POS and it takes forever to put it back on after fueling. I want to run my stock tank but don't want to chance it, I finished one 2hr race last Nov with it but was on fumes. If the race would have been another 5 miles I would have been pushing.

To bad we couldn't get enough people together who wanted a 3 gallon tank (a nice one) and contract some one to make us what we want. When I was talking to the guy at ClockWork he said he would have to make at least 120 to break even and, it's like a 6 month project.

Hey 454x, just how bad is it? I am in kind of a need for a bigger tank with some of the desert rides we do... I am pushing my luck with the extra MSR fuel bottles. Do you have a pic? Those tanks are so pricey, I hate to spend the cash, but don't think I will be able to get the mileage I need from stocker plus the extra I bring. Mileage of the ride is about 60mi, but it is desert miles. I have gotten 60 out of the stocker on mtn singletrack, and was just on reserve.
I am just trying to decide if I should spend the $$, or what other options there are.

It's a big enough gap that I went to a bicycle shop and put one of those 1 inch thick wedges to hold stuff there..pict:

looks like a pretty big gap, but I guess that might be the only option if I want to ride over 60 miles. does it interfere with a scotts damper sub mount?
