• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Improved 2014 GasGas motorcycles

After reading and sort of ~following this sort of stuff (including the efi 2t stuff) for a few yrs now ... Its really just talking points or just a waste of time. What comes out from these companies will come out ...We will find out when it arrives for sale.

Don't read the comments about this gas2x company from any of the web pages ... You might understand why these bikes are in a few garages only ... Expecting a company with little real success to suddenly get successful from another companys' leftovers, is fantasy-land most likely. Not that anything these guy release will not roll down some road, dirt or pavement, ...The wheel works for about everyone ... The rest of the machine is up in the air.

I cant disagree with your post more. I have 2 huskies now. A wr300 and and tc449. I came off an EC300 gas gas. My brother has an EC250. The only reasons I sold my gas gas and kept my husky was the seat height and the wr300 had more top end.. Both mine and my brothers gas gas were pretty nice bikes and reliable also. If you look at thier sales history in the us it has mainly been 2 stroke, so I see them having bought the rights to some husky 4 stroke tech is a way to get 4 strokes back into the us with out a ton of R and D costs.

Who should I make it out to? :D
Nope. Not buyin it. I'll be the first to admit I don't know squat about Huskys, but I do know that just because you own a couple "real" (Swede) Huskys doesn't make you a "real" Husky rider. I've seen plenty of photo evedidence of all your "other" non-Husky flings!:D Just pokin. Your still my hero!

GasGas 4stroke in house efforts have been less than successful. The agreement they have with Yamaha to supply engines prohibits sale of those bikes in the US. This is a way to get out of that trap, simple.

Agree. Seems they have been searching for the right avenue to get back into 4 strokes.
