• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Our Volunteer Riders club was having it's annual banquet and day after ride, and tired of being the only Husqvarna in the area, I invited fellow Cafe Husky member Bobby up from Atlanta (BMW-Husky of Atlanta). As a bonus Mandi Mastin showed up to get some practice on our rough single track! So now we had three husqvarnas in a sea of orange but it was pretty cool. Most had fun, my day did not go so well, I always brag about how well my tc250 starts and runs but not today, finally ended with a broken kick starter.
Fun to meet up and ride with Bobby and his great looking sprinter van looked great also with the BMW- Husky wrap.
Would like to get a few more of you guys together in the future.

If I'm not on the road, I'd come over that way and check out east TN. You ever ride at Redbird Crest? I've been trying to get my riding partners to go up there, but no one wants to travel...

What happened with the kicker?
It actually broke the kick start shaft, and since I have a rekluse, no bump starting. And yes I have been told the negatives of auto clutches, but I am not going back to manual, just have to get my bike running right again and keep monster legs off my bike!
I will do better with pictures next time, would have been cool to have pics of Mandi in my neck of the woods, just hope no one got a photo of me being towed by a KTM....

Some one just kicked it to hard and snapped the lever? Too bad you did not get a pic of someone's face when the words: " Hey bro, heres your kicker ... The other part is still on the bike ..." was uttered ...

Mandi dusted everyone?

Actually, no, she is a very good rider but we have some GNCC and SETRA champions in the club and one reason she was there was to get some tutoring from club member Mark Patterson who runs the A masters class in GNCC.
My ride got cut short, but I am sure she dusted most everyone else. She said she tried Jason Thomas's new TC250 and said it was very strong.

Water Racer - Can you add me to your riding list (john_hunter@genpt.com). I'm also on the North side of Atlanta. I ride 3-4 times a year at Coal Creek and at RedBird in KY. Below are a couple more RedBird videos for the group to check out. RedBird in May would be a great 2-Day ride. RedBird is one of the best kept secrets in the SouthEast. It's a great mix of trails, rocks and hills. Maybe not a good place for novice riders and it's best to ride with someone who knows done the 75 mile loop a few times...

Man, I wouldn't know how to act on trails that nice! May have to get together and make a trip.
I will let you know when we are getting together again, think the next scheduled club event would be first day of spring ride, but more will pop up before then.

Throw me in your list, I'm in north Bama. Always enjoy riding something new and meeting fellow Husky riders.
