Unlike SOME lucky riders
who got to go out into verdant forests brimming with lush greenery and melting snow pack this week, we had our choice of hot and hotter and also dry and drier. Temps ranged from the high eighties to over the 100 mark depending on where we were during the ride. So here's some pix from our dust bowl dual sport ride yesterday.
Rolling into Julian.
On the Sunrise Highway.
Somewhere in the desert mountains.
See? There's single track; just no trees.
Heading for something a little greener and cooler.
Not quite lush, but it'll do.
A shady rest stop.
I like how the birds and critters store their acorns for a snack later.
Speaking of snacks, there's nothing like a big bowl of cinnamon ice cream on a hot afternoon.
