  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc I'm almost ready to give up on old huskys

pablo, heres your tank and shrouds

your seat foam looks alot like a 91. they were kinda rounded like that.

The tank is the original 90 model, shrouds are from a 96 4 stroke. Bolts line up with some work.
Need help with an ID of the motor etc.

Looks to be a match for 90 -91 thanks for looking, it's out there but very costly. Shipping to Aust is was overpriced all over retailers. If it was cheaper U.S would be in profit is crazy.

$5 so a third of normal retail. Brown pink, blue I don't mind. New is better than old for now. But I agree not for everyone.

be easier to break it to ya parents once they see the grips Pablo.;) just kiddin mate. in all seriousness a chain I have found in the past to be an essential part of forward momentum. they do pink chains too! sorry I have too much time on my hands

Chain and exhaust are being cleaned and re packed, not running great but it goes to my mate next week for some carby work and a tune. Has more been a project to keep me sane which it has. Owes me $560 total so far. Motor was a fresh rebuild when I got it and all bearings and bushes on the suspension been done. Needs a good wash now before I get it out there. Back to work I hope in the next week, mrs is doing ok and I'm not needed at home as much so won't have as much spare time for project bikes but if the new job comes through I get to buy a new bike each year for cost so maybe time to buy a modern bike.

Hang it on me all you like for the grips I expected it..but they will be very dirty soon I hope.
