• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have done that race a few times and it is VERY good. Lots of elevation changes all day long down really nice single track. That said don't show up half ready as it is a bit of an ass kicker. Usually 120 each day and not really EZ miles.

I will be there with Speedkiils and Montogob1 and their CR144's... I am their for moral support and the staff photographer. :D

I will be riding my TXC300 from place to place with a backpack full of camera equipment hoping my knee lets me get around okay. Should be enjoyable. If you see this bike with a tall skinny guy with a camera stop and say hello... We plan on camping in the main pits and will be there Friday morning.3 huskys and a pumpkin.

I rode this last year on my CR125, one of my favorite events of the year and one of the last before I changed from a dirt bike rider to professional soil sample analyst... Conditions were epic last year, like riding chocolate cake.

Here is special test 2 from Day 1 last year, so much fun. This was my worst special test of the day with a 9th out of 33, but the video is still fun. I was struggling with the down hill water bars wanting to kick me over the bars. I really wish I could go back with my current setup, or my setup from later that summer my suspension was jacked up. It was my fault, I had the fork compression backed out too far and it was blowing through the travel and feeling harsh. 10 clicks stiffer made it much more plush, it still is counter intuitive but I know it worked.
