    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

iBeat software for 2012 310. helpful or not?

New owner of a 2012 and recently had some issues that needed the TPS reset. So I posted asking about the use of iBeat and a few inmates offered up software and cable for sale.

Can anyone tell me did the cable or hookup change from 2008-12 or was it software updates only. I can pick up the 2.0 software and USB cable and just wondered if I could download the newer version of the software.

lastly I know the dealers have changed over to a new product. is iBeat even helpful for a 2012 bike owner.

The bikes have changed from Mikuni to Kehin FI, thus the change of software. A bit more flexible now.

AFAIK you are stuck with iBeat for TPS and fueling adjustments.
 
So is the iBeat USB cable used through the years the same and can I download the 2.1 latest software if the kit I buy comes with older versions?

cheers, I've see that site. 300.00 is way out of my price range. I was was more after info on any model changes through the years. The used setup I weas looking at was for an owner of a 2008 just wondered if the same cable would work on mine. From what I've read the answer is yes.

I was attempting to lead you to the "Husqvarna EFI-USB diagnostic interface cable. Works on all Mikuni EFI bikes 07-12" statement on the SEMCO web page.

Yes, it will work 2008 thru 2012.
