Only 18 years too late! I have created a browser based version of iBeat. I didn't try to recreate any of the service log stuff as that seemed to be more for a dealer.
I have tested this pretty extensively with:
Windows 11
Chrome Browser
Android Phone (Pixel 10 PRO with Chrome)
VAG KKL USB-K-line adapter
2008 TE 510
2012 TXC 310.
I have a working copy of iBeat as well, so would run this, then check vs iBeat. I found some conversion errors, and noticed that my document I published a couple of years ago has some errors (pulse width and spark advanced codes were reversed).
You don't need iBeat, virtual PC, windows XP, none of that. YOU WILL need a USB K-line adapter. If interested, I can show you some workarounds to that adapter and how to make a K-line to Serial to USB adapter.
As before, an ELM 327 OBD device will NOT work with our bikes.
Any feedback welcome. This is just a fun hobby so not totally geared for full blown tech support but will do what I can.
To use:
1. Download to your computer
2. Rename the file from .txt to .html (I couldn't upload HTML files here)
3. Open with your browser,
4. It will open a dialog box asking which COM port to use for your adapter.
You can change CO settings, do TPS reset, view and reset faults. Both of my bikes are in "power up" mode so have not tested the "FEEDBACK" functionality in iBeat but it seems to just be a read only type deal anyway.
Things in the works:
1. Publishing an update to my "Decoding the Mikuni EFI" with a lot more information.
2. I am working on, and have prototypes working of a microcontroller that plugs into the diagnostic port and lets you make changed to the bike from your phone via a text based terminal emulator in plain english so you don't have to use a bunch of codes, but also lets you control run this browser based iBeat via bluetooth (laptop will still be serial only)
3. Messing around with 2.4" touch screen display that connects to the controller that in turn connects to the diagnostic port.
4. Also looking at making this same screen be a replacement for the digital dash on the TE and SMR models.
Feedback welcome!
