• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

iBeat 2.01 vs 2.1

I hear everyone on here talking about iBeat 2.1. I have 2.01...is there any major difference between the versions?

I think there could be a few more error codes with 2.1 than 2.0. But to adjust with ibeat 2.0 and it works with your bike I don't think there is any difference. It looks and acts the same with my '10 TXC 250.

To my knowledge there never was 2.01 - the update after version 2 installed with an icon that said 2.01 but it was actually version 2.1.

I haven't got Ibeat installed now we have HST but can you check the version in the software to see which you have?
The only change between 2 and 2.1 was an update that allowed CO adjustment in 2010 model TEs, there was a software fault that prevented you adjusting richer I think it was in version 2 but that was it.

My understanding that the change between 2 & 2.1 had to do with a communication timing issue on 2010 bikes. There was no user functional difference.

Kind of funny...when you open the software...the splash screen says 2.01. The menu item in the Windows start menu says 2.01. When you go to "Tool Version" in iBeat, it says 2.1. Guess someone forgot to delete a "0."
