• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey there guys.. I just moved to another state and in the process I seem to have misplaced the manual to my 2014 TE250 ..

I'm at sea level now, anybody know what size jets I need ?

Realized that post might sound a little dickish. By "did you read" I mean may be I missed the specs somehwere in the Pdf.

@ Trikk
go down to page 119 of the PDF or to page 117 of the manual

its got the specs for the elevation and temperature range for the TE 300.

@ Reveille
thanks for the quick reply bud, it was just what I needed!

You're welcome. I prefer the PDF manuals when working on my bikes and as you found out, if read properly, there is very comprehensive information to be gleaned. I just picked up a new 2015 300 myself but being I'm jetting illiterate, I installed a Lectron. Enjoy the new bike.

Don't mean to derail the op's thread, but since you mentioned it..........what did you do if anything about your air filter boot? I just fitted the 36mm Lectron to my '15 TE300 and upon looking down into the throat from the filter vantage point, I can see significant boot buckling that I suspect will be a restriction in the upper rpm and I see that the filter is now a fuss to get a perfect fit which is a risk point for a future failure IMHO.

Lectron instructions were to cut the boot back to the second ring at the carb side. I also carefully trimmed the second ring tab flush with the outside of boot to allow the clamp to sit flat and not slide up when tightened. The rings tab is useless since it sits up against the lectron so shaving it down allowed the clamp to be closer to the lectron where it needs to be. No buckling now. Not sure if you get my response or not. If you have more questions, pm me. BTT

I've done some modifying and I now know what I want to do. I've found that the Gorilla Gel Glue equivalent to Super Glue is extremely compatible with the boot composition so I am ordering a new boot and I will remove 14mm of the boot neck a bit away from the rings. I did what you suggested and not that your suggestion is wrong (I actually did it before I came back to the forum) but I don't trust the clamp not to slide. I played with the clamp after thinking I had it tight and secure and I was able to move it even with it clamped really tight. Just can't trust that so I'll remove the ring and reattach it. Thanks for the help though!
