• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I Love Wallybean

Yeah, I could've put this in Ride Reports since it's sort of a report. But not really.

And I could've put it in 2-strokes, I guess, since the heart of the matter is a 2-stroke. But that's like preaching to the choir.

Hell, I could have even posted it up on CraigsList's W4M since it's really a bit of a love note ;)

In the end I decided to put it here in General because I want everyone to know that Walt is a national treasure here in HusqvarnaLand and the man flat out knows what he's doing. And he's a super nice guy!

Eric and I took the WR's up to Stonyford and I had the best time riding my WB165!
Best dirtbike ever! He sent me a shiny new FMF pipe some time back (I'm embarrassed to say how long ago...) and this was my first real ride on it. It ran better than it ever has and was an absolute joy to ride! I can't say enough about that bike. Or Walt. Seriously.

Anyway, I'm proud to own and ride Huskys, I'm proud to fly the Husky colors when I ride them, I'm proud of the community we have here at CafeHusky, and I'm proud to know Walt and call him a friend

Can I have some of whatever potion/pills you are on Woodsie. I would love to love everyone right now me thinks

Ok too cool you guys. and nice to see you and Eric got the WBs out.
But you know what would be cool in this tribute to Walt would be a photo I remember of the first NW gathering when You Eric and Walt attended. Think hugging and laughing...
Was when I met you all.
Too much fun!

You mean this one? :)

All natural, baby!

Well, no, I take that back...I guess I'm still high on the 165cc's of 2-stroke love I ingested yesterday

I HATE Wallybean !
The man has ruined my life with his poxy WB165.
Every other bike I ride no matter how good it is I cannot wait to get back on the 165
I get people lauging at me for turning up on a 125 and saying that little thing is not going to drag my fat ass around and have I gone senile in my old age!!!
Every Time I contemplate giving up on my racing days the little 165 brings back that huge ear to ear grin as the tiddler just knuckles down and gets on with the job in hand, Managed a 6th in class this sunday in the hardest ride I have ever competed in and have a job to walk today but still have this stupid grin on my face because of that little 165
Walt you are a STAR Thank you :thumbsup:DSC_2163_zpsd9582c6f.jpg

I know the feeling JB and feel your pain...

ashamed to say BEFORE the strawberry daiquiris....it was a good day :)

Hah! Then there's no excuse for all that man love goin' on!

Actually they were strawberry margaritas.... Not that that's gonna add any points to the man card...

Hahaha! True! Well, I don't know...if you just say "We had margaritas" it doesn't sound as bad as "We had daiquiris" , now, does it? Just leave off the strawberry part and you're good. Oh, and stay away from me and my camera :D

Yup, I remember them and from my recollection there are more. ??
WC?
Very fun times!
Strawberry Whats?

Yeah, I gotta find the link to my ride report. I think it's buried in the PNW ride thread somewhere.
Super fun time! I remember meeting you for the first time! I was like, "I like this dude! We should ride sometime!" hint, hint...

It was fun to meet everyone that showed up and except for the wrecks a great time!
I'm hoping to make it down South to the desert in the spring. hint hint

Ditto. As you all know I am in love with my 165 for a long time now. I think I got one of the first ones outside of walt and his local friends and have never looked back. My 165 is so good many guys here have them now as well after sampling mine. For me it is simply the best motor / bike for woods riding I have ever found regardless of manufacturer, size or year. thanks Walt.
