  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

i love my 12 te310 but..

may be I should have got a TXC:confused: .
I've done 100 hours track time with no problems:)
I am looking into a 12 port injector.
Ive been offered TXC forks and shock in a part exchange or should I just get bigger springs ?
Im 94kg

TXC forks are Closed Cartridge, and much nicer in my experience, but springs need to be "sized" for you.

The 12 Point Injector and ECU is a MUST do on the 012 TEs . It is the best Mod you can / will do.

I went from a 012 TE to a 013 TXC, and dont regret it, but was not a cheaper option after fitting Front and Rear Lights for Enduro.

If you changed Forks and Injector / ECU, there would be little difference between your TE and a TXC !

I actually prefer open cartridge forks for the type of riding I do. I called RaceTech, told them what bike I have, told them what I weigh, and they sent me the springs I needed. The nice thing about the TE it is a street legal bike you can turn into a racer much easier than you can make a TXC racer street legal.

Thats not really the case here in the UK . My TXC was road registered "as is". Tecnically I do need a Horn, but nobody ever checks !

I went the TXC route, for the Forks, and to try and remove some of the Wiring and shit around / under the Tank !

Just wished the TXC came with a smaller TC style Tank !

Hey guys would a 12 port injector be beneficial for a 2010 TE and what else would be required -re mapping perhaps?

Why? How much we're the springs?

Great feedback
Sussy has been ok for Enduro but lacking when mxing. Is the tc and txc the same. Will I be bouncing off tree routes if I get the tc Sussy?
I rode 2 new Ktm s which felt better.
One had a recluse with a back brake on the bars. Definitely 'cheating' is there a down side to having a recluse?

I understand there pretty much is no point changing the injector on our model. But a change in mapping helps heaps. I bought a JD tuner, it may improve total power a bit but the best part is tuning the power delivery. I wanted more tourque down low and mid and thats what I have.

They don't take big hits as well as the dual chamber forks, and will blow through the stroke, but they can be much more compliant on the smaller stuff. I guess it all depends on how aggressive you are. Fork springs are about $115.

Got me a tetxc!
Hope I'm doing the right thing?
I've px d my te Sussy for a txc set up
And ordered the 12 port ecu

what is a JD tuner, where do you buy one, how much do they cost, can you change the power delivery yourself with the tuner, and if so what sort of skills do you need
i have 2012 TE310 and would definitely like more low and mid range
i have tried to get the bike shop to help but not getting what i want

Yes you can change power delivery with JD tuner! They are already set with basic settings for your model! I ordered mine online from a guy in Heidelberg Melbourne. found him online. $230.00,
money well spent have 2010 Te 250 first of the xlites. Stock ecu , pipe & injector.

My 310 is a non x-lite so is different to your 2012. I've read on here that the injector and ecu does help on your model. Also unless you know what your doing with the FI settings you might not have much luck mucking around with the Jd tuners settings. For the Jd tuner to work out of the box you should get your dealer to plug your TE into Ibeat (Husqvarna fuel injection/engine management interface) and have them set the "Co's" to 100, 100, 100.
