• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I Have A Dream: Pozo On The 610's

I would love it if you would change it back! Only if it doesn't negatively affect the site here, though.
Try it now. Most of the issue was at my end cause I disabled my Safari Cache... and we are now on a server 2x larger than what we had before.

Cool! Thanks, Dean. 10 photos per post was tough for a photo junkie like me :o
I will finish this one up tonight and maybe start in on last week's ride :D

The next morning we topped off the tanks and headed east towards the Carrizo Plain National Monument. I was hoping it would be green but feared it would be brown. It was brown :( Look closely, though, and you can see the snow shining on the southern tip of the Sierra across the soulless sea of gray in the central valley below...

We rolled down out of the Temblor Range towards the totally dry Soda Lake...

New business open in California Valley! Except that it wasn't open on this Presidents Day, no matter what the sign says...

I counted 18 of these critters hanging around in a field behind the Kit Fox Quick Stop...

Headed back to camp and hit some shortcuts on the way...

All too soon it was over and we were tip-toeing our way out of there. No way were we going to go back out Red Hill Rd. No, we climbed out of the canyon on a dirt road that was just as gnarly but much shorter, then we dropped down to the most fun stretch of pavement ever! Tight and dirty...

I really enjoyed this part of California. It's the perfect place for supermotos and dualsports. The trails at Pozo aren't gnarly (except for the Stair Steps) and the paved roads are plentiful, lightly traveled and super fun. Can't wait to go back after some rain falls mainly on the Plain.

Thanks for coming along! :thumbup

HEY your SM is lower than mine, your face doesn't get as messy from crap flying up off the front tire at you hahaha

Those stair steps look like fun!

I'm a girl, silly! Girls don't get dirty faces :)

And, yes, the stair steps will be fun once I finally put a knobby to them. I'll make sure the camera batteries are charged for the spectacle :D

Yes and this time maybe see if you can make your landing pattern "safe for work" bahahaha ;)

 :applause: :applause: Ok, I'm going to Pismo tomorrow and riding pozo to Carissa Saturday....

Where did you get that map?
