• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have recently switched to this as well.... using it in my wr125, with improved resultes over previous spendy oil. Next change in my 450r, i will run it in both the engine, and tranny side.... Using the same oil in all bikes makes things EASY-PEASEY

I've run it in my 07 TE450 from first oil change. 6000+ miles and not one single issue. Only changed valve shims once to get back into specs. Also I put a Rekluse in the bike and they recomend this oil for it. Just put it in my 2012 WR125 too.....
I actually use it in my skid steer, riding mower, push mower, log splitter........so simple using 1 oil.

I have been loving me some Amsoil stuff and broke down and bought a case i thought it was so good. They make a 20-50 and 10-40.

These oil threads are like all of us arguing over what women look the best. Dark, Light, Blonde, Brunette, Red, Caucasian, African, Asian etc etc etc, my preference Latin types.
Oh by the way I use Maxima products exclusively (local) When I lived east coast it was Spectro exclusively but none of that matters because whatever each of us uses is always the best type and brand in our own minds.

Well,
I think a thread like this is designed for folks to read about which oils folks have been using with "good" results. This way people can make an informed decision on what they may want to use without "known" damage from someone elses experience. Sometimes due to availability, convenience, economics, frequency of oil changes, perferred color or smell or any other reason, a person needs alterative options than what is in the manual.
Besides, I don't see where anyone said that their choice is best.
