• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Besides, I think 3 is the perfect number of 610's for a gal to have in her garage.

And it's gray

Very nice! Enjoy it!:oldman:

I always enjoy my time on the 610s!

Yes, u have a 630 thing.

Haha!! No, a 610 thing...but who's counting? :excuseme:

But you can't ride them all at the same time, I can help you out there!!

Sweet! Thank you, Freaky. Nice to know you're always thinking of others :D

I'm sure it saves ya a bunch of time not having to swap out wheels fron dirt to SM

Well, I still ride the SM wheels in the dirt. Works fine for the dualsporty stuff I do with it. I've got the 165 for real dirty work

Two makes sense (TE and SM). But why have 3?
It's all the same parts except wheels and suspension. I love my 610 and I want to be able to keep it running for a long time.
This new one is basically insurance for the other two.

Still have the TR650?

Yep  Commute on it every day. It's got over 6k miles on it now.

Year? EFI?

`07 with a carb. It runs great and shifts smooth as silk.
Looks like a nice bike you scored.
Speaking of 610s, there's a 06 TE for sale locally for 2200 and change.

Buy it! Now! As long as it doesn't have a scadzillion miles on it, anyway.

And Bill has a Black and Gray SM EFI beauty on the floor, too....under 500 miles

Now ya tell me

Those are great bikes and I have owned flavors of them all but the 630. That basic motor and frame evolved from the swedish bikes, survived all the italian bikes (as the only carry over) and even into the german ownership. It may have its roots in old school but it goes to show you a good platform is a good platform no matter how you slice it. My 02 TE570 was a beast. That sucker had GOBS of power. Still kick myself for letting that one go.
