• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Good stuff. You needed new gear to go with the new bike anyway :). I have Sidi street boots and they're really good quality. Love my Gaerne SG10's though. Gear is always an investment unlike bike parts lol. Make sure you give us a review
 
I love mine! :love: I bought older version, but got them at a steep discount...or I probably would have never discovered how great a boot they really are! Leftover odd colors and sizes were on sale at the Long Beach MC show, last December from Extreme Supply. 325 bucks! I have worn lots of different brands, but SIDI beats any of those in terms of comfort, articulation....and I think looks, too.

I agree. Bought a pr about 1 1/2 yrs ago and wished I'd spent that kind of money decades ago! The comfort and quality are top-notch. (never knew my feet could be that comfortable in riding boots)
 
I have the older ones,tight to get on but fit like a glove and they're now absolutely buggered.
Need new ones , I hate new boots :(
 
Sidis fit great and feel good from the get go. The Sidis and Gaerne 10s are the best boots out there bar none imho.

I really love my Crossfire 1 boots & they are wearing very well.
I got mine from these guys as the CF-1 price in Aus was dearer than what you paid for the CF-2!
You will be impressed buy the comfort they offer & you can walk in them, something my old boots couldn't do well.

Sidi vertebrae 2 boots, saved me from losing my lower leg when I hit an armaco barrier at about 130kph(80mph) .
Tore the heel clean off of it and I only suffered a dislocated/hyper flexed knee (90deg sideways :D) .

If I had,been wearing shite boots, I reckon I would be Long john Silver now ! (Wooden leg) .

Sidi are,awesome boots, both road and trail.
 
When my son wanted to ride dirtbikes the first thing I got him was all the safety gear. The parents just give there kids helmets and think it's ok. My son put his boots on and stuffed the knee and shin guard in the boots too. It covered his knees. I swear by having safety gear.
 
You guys must have some wide feet there. Mine are pretty wide with a tall arch, Sidis fit well for me.

Glad the Gaernes fit you well.
 
so update on Sidi crossfire 2 srs boots.

I have 30+ hours of riding now, including race, woods, rocks, stream crossing, deep mud walking and everything in between.

there were few times where I hit something and really thought that my leg got ripped off, but I have to say that Sidi's did their job outstanding. I managed to avoid any injuries and actually not even a bruise.

boots always stayed dry and comfortable, no issues.

one minor issue is that you need to be really careful putting them on and manage folds and overlaps so they dont create pressure points later in the ride.

overall, A+ to Sidi!
 
+1 SIDI.. I have the SIDI Canyon Boots (Gore-Tex) for the street... can't get any better.

Tried them on last weekend, drooled over how nice they are but could not get my wide foot in them. Walked away with Alpinestar Tek7s, the only thing in the store that fit.

How is it that I got new boots but went away unhappy?
 
Forma are kickass imo tried alpine stars my baby feet didnt like them, sidi have worn around shop not on bike but so far my forma dominator tx's are well ace and stand up for a jet washing everytime i wash the bitch(wr360)
 
I used to be an Alpinestars person until they quit making them in Italy. Seems like the soles got soft and the rest of the boot just didn't hold up as well. I think they lasted less that half as long as the Italian ones and the price was still way up there.

I purchased the SIDI Crossfire II SRS about a year ago and couldn't be happier. It was a tie with the SG12 as far as features go, but the SIDI just seemed to fit better. Without a doubt these are the best boots I've ever owned. I also updated to the enduro sole.
 
I have a pair of Alpinestar and a pair of Gaerne. The Alpinestars feel great but only last about 2 seasons where the Gaernes after 2 seasons feel the same ( very stiff and leave my feet with blisters after 60 miles ) this happens every ride and I have tries thick socks, thin socks, short socks and tall socks the only thing I have not tried is to not wear socks.Sure the Gaernes last but when you dread putting your feet in them what good are they. I know many riders that love Gaernes they just aren't for me. I want to try some SIDI boots on and if they don't feel good I will get some Alpinestar tech 7's.

Think the formas and sidi hurricanes are the same boot?
 
This is where I like my Sidi Crossfire.
I put them on & ride then don't notice them for the rest of the day.
Even to the point of wearing them into the bar for the after ride drink :)
Almost two years on & they are in great shape
