• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The Vintage Enduro 12 and 13 July you refer to, is that a race and if so open to other vintage bikes as well?

OK. Is there a link to a website or could you send me information (PM me)? Sorry if missed info in this thread but could find any.

We are like 15 persons in my town riding classic enduros, many TT/XT500s but more and more Huskys :) Problem is choosing which races to start in...too many choices  Actually going to Pyrenees beginning of June but not with classic bikes, will take my KTM 690 Enduro for some dual sport, 25% gravel and 75% tarmac. Going with 20 guys from work

There has been a group of us riding this event from the UK for the last two years, well worth the trip. If you have a look at this link to our website there's quite a few photo's on there. http://www.vindurouk.com/forum.html
My avatar picture was taken on the special test of this event.

Sounds good :) Probably already too many plans this year but will keep in mind in case get the opportunity.

But still lacking information about the event. Is there a link to web site or invitation that could be posted?

Hiya Fabrice,
if you need help organising this event just ask,
i had better get the automatic going,(just machining the cylinder for the decompresseur)

it's a good idea having mechanics at the event so we can ask questions about things we don't understand,

thanks for starting the idea for the event:)
good luck, David.

Details about Monein Enduro on July 6th:
Vintage bikes are accepted in the Monein enduro, and there will be some easier detour for the old bikes.
Monein enduro is very hard if it rains, we had a bad experience in 2008, but if the weather is dry it is a nice enduro

The enduro consists of two times 70km, but if there are enough vintage bikes (minimum 20), they will reduce it to only one round of 70 km, for the old bikes, with a separate category.
You can buy a "one day licence" , you just need your driving licence and a medical certificate stating that you are able to race an enduro.

you will find, next month, the document to register in this enduro on this site :http://www.asmpaumv.fr/
the guy in charge of the organization is presently in South America on the Dakar Rally !!!

thank you :)
but it's an AE modified in AMX
I need to install a rear wheel cross with the good brake flange and the good shooting brake and the good swingarm
more an efficient transmission (12or13 x 53)
for the next time
