  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Husqvarna WR 125 '01 Footpegs

Husqvarna
A Class
Hi all,

First of all I would like to introduce myself in this great forum. I registered here some time ago and usually use your posts to learn more and more about my bike. I ride this Husqvarna WR 125 2001 model:

My problem is that I've the footpegs really wasted and I would like to fit new ones. The problem is that in my area (Barcelona) the only option on footpegs is the original one's for about 80€ (60-70$ aprox). There are many other options but only for Honda, Yamaha, even for Husqvarna WR but only for 07-12 models.

My question is: Anyone knows if the WR 07-12 footpegs would fit my bike? Is there any other footpegs from another bike (I've heard something about Yamaha YZ's ones)?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Regards

So if the footpegs from a Yamaha will fit a wr125 01 what other bike parts fit husqvarnas. Any other's?

Almost any peg with the same type mounting will fit with a slight modification. Honda, Yamaha, suzuki etc. You will have to grind a small amount off the tube / barral part of it to get it to fit in between the mounts but thats it.

how far can you back in the italians that share pegs? from what i see in this thread from 99-12 they work...is a 95 the same?

I've used a couple of sets of YZ pegs on my bike, but never heard of anybody putting pegs for other brands on. Do they all fit the same after grinding down the barrel?

Thank you very much for your answers. This afternoon I've gone to a local dealer with my old footpegs and compared with the ones specified for Husky WR 07-12.

They looked much more the same, and I think that they would fit without any modification. However, I've not bought them because they hadn't that slice in the interior part to avoid hitting the pedal break (hope I have explained it quite well). Tomorrow I'm going to another shop who has the following footpegs for Yamaha YZ 125 (for 38€, about 51$):

Moreover, I've looked at Husqvarna official parts catalog for the WR/CR 2001 and the WR/CR 2007 and the code number for the original footpeg is the same for all years, so I don't understand why some aftermarket brands specify those would'nt fit...

Best regards!
