• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna WB165 Kit, coming soon and need input...

WB- It is running great! I do have to run 112 in it or it will detonate but other then that I really love it. Amazed how much better it runs then even a stock wr150. You did a great job!
Or did you mean the rekluse? It is an EXP, so it shouldnt be too expensive. We finished different spring and spacer combinations and it works really well now. Mine engages about 300 rpm off idle and locks in hard if you get on it. You can also run a gear high on hill climbs and it slips perfectly!! Lots of traction, no wheel spin. no clutching. I also like the fact that since it engages so low it does not free wheel when you let off, IE going down steep hills stays engaged.. I can say enough about the support I received from Rekluse engineering. I think it will put a smile on a lot of the wr125/144/167 clan!!

I just bought the new digital ignition so it will be a while (next merry Christmas to me) before I can treat myself to the WB165 kit.

WB - have you run a 144 with the WB (KTM) pipe? I would be interested in how it ran. It would be great to buy the exhaust now and then the 165 kit later. And I take it the standard KTM pipe guards will fit.

Kelly - I would be interested in the kickstart lever if it has more clearance for the exhaust. Tired of it hitting the FMF.

+1 for the Rekluse! I have been hounding them non stop for a few months now. Last week I was told that it would probably be available by early February so it looks like they are on schedule. Chuck, do you know if theses are built specifically to withstand the extra HP and torque of the 165/167? I know that Rekluse has big bold red writing on their website that states their clutches are not for big bore kits. I would imagine that if your bike was a test mule then it would be good for any cc. Just curious.

I am seriously thinking about picking up a wr144. At that point I'll want a turnkey solution. WB165 kit, Carb, and Pipe. You don't by chance have a revloc dynaring laying around do you?

I just looked in the parts bin and we do have 1 dyna ring for a 125 and 1 for a 250 as well. Let me or kelly know if you would like 1. Mike.

I've been running my rekluse on the 165 for about a year and have had no issues... But I'm slow..... :)

If I remember correctly your is a modified CR250F unit right?

No mine was it's own unit... I think Joe Chod told us that a Honda CR 125 clutch basket was the same dimensions.. Went to Rekluse to talk about it . They decided to give it a go (this was May of 2010 ) so it's almost 2 years and I've had no problems. I take it in when they need it or if I have a question.. great group of folks at Rekluse...
