• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna Terra Steering Stem Hole Fix

Tired off looking at that empty hole in steering stem? Think $16.95 is too much money for a trick aluminum cover. Like wine? Go buy a bottle of your favorite wine, drink it, get up next day after hangover and install cork in steering stem. If it's too tall, shorten it. Thank you

Oh look, I'll need to buy some risers to have the space fit a cork in there ;). Was wondering how I'd justify another purchase to the household treasurer.

WOW, What an idea. I could start buying Bud Wipe in bottles and in a couple of weeks I could have a lifetime time supply of caps. Great Idea

In Australia, a 19mm plastic end cap from Clark Rubber. Or I can send you one for $19.95 with free postage.

Here's my steering stem hole fix.

Started as this and ended up with this which was a snug fit.

Ran the wires from battery using a battery tender plug so I can disconnect when I'm not using it. In the future I may try to find keyed source but for now this should be fine.

I purchased off ebay, here's the link.http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Port-Dual-USB-Car-Cigarette-Lighter-Socket-12V-Charger-Power-Adapter-Outlet-/292096957494?epid=810044139&hash=item440255dc36:g:r10AAOSw5UZY~5sI

Well that's great, another reason why we shouldn't drink! And I've been on a never ending quest to find something to fill that hole. And Mystery1 comes up with something useful to solve the problem. And an ingenious idea at that, never have come up with a good place to mount one of those electrical thingies that I thought was worth a s__t. Great Idea. Forest

Hell if it wasn't for beer I probably wouldn't of thought of it or even tried to do it. About halfway thru I was questioning my sanity. Good thing it was raining that day otherwise I would probably given up went riding.
