  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

HUSQVARNA TE310R 2013 GOPRO CRASH

Took me a minute to figure out exactly what caused this crash. Looked totally undercontrol and then just breaks loose haha Finally saw the hole/water.

This just reminds me why I wear all my gear (armour, neck brace etc.) even on a casual trail ride when it's 35ºC (95ºF)

Casual? Hehe, you were ripping on it, great rider! Those new 310R's look fun..

That wreck was odd, that must've been one hidden sinkhole then accelerated? - surprise the suspension didn't soak it up like the previous muddy road - nice vid!

Takes bigger balls to show the video of the crash than to get back on your steed after the fall if you ask me!

Looks to me like you flipped the bike. That bike has a whole lot of power for the weight of the bike. :)

The quietly spoken "ugh" after you picked yourself up felt vaguely familiar :) and made my knees hurt again....

Yeah it does look like I flipped it...
I did a bit of CSI before leaving the "scene" and I locked my rear wheel up and started sliding about 2m before the pothole. I was just trying to slow down a bit before the bigger puddle across the trail because that one also had holes in it.
If I was riding with my mates and not my girlfriend, I probably wouldn't have braked and just pinned it through the water... But then you guys wouldn't get the pleasure of viewing a crash!

And yes, these TE310R's are ALOT of fun. Great bike

We rode from 7.30am to 11.30am, there was heaps of rain, mud, sand, deep water crossings, hills etc. It was one of the best rides I have ever done. There was 15 of us with only one bike that did not make it a Yamaha Wr 450

Sounds like alot of fun. It's an awesome place to ride.
The problem with the WR450's is they're so reliable the owners forget to maintain!
