    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Husqvarna Te310 Athena 2010 Backfires, Does Not Start, Does Not Idle

Hello, last sunday i went out to a ride with my bike. One day full of riding, runs perfect. Monday i took out the bike and wash it good. After i wash it, it started fine. I took out the injector body, to change the throttle body union, it was cracked outside, and i decided to change it. After i put everything back together, tried to start it, nothing. Backfires, when it starts, runs very badly, lots of smoke and does not idle. I dont know what to check, where to start from. I have it from 5 mounths now, and first time does that. i took out the water temp sensor connector, and tried that way, nothing.

Sorry for my writing, if you know what should i check, please tell me.
 
Its mounted with 2 small screws (M4 if I remember right) on the throttle body. If you changed the TB you have probably re-screwed it from the previous? Unless you didnt mount a used with the TPS already there. If so it was adjusted to fit the previous bike and needs to be adjusted anyway.

You can adjust it with a TPS-tool or build one by your own. I always adjust my bikes by ear. Loosen the two screws so the TPS can be turned freely by hand. Than hit the starter engine button and turn the TPS til it starts. When its running, turn the TPS to a position where your idle is at its highest point (highest rev). Than adjust the idle if needed. Thats the easy way. A TPS-tool is to prefer but not a must. If your electric start doesnt work, you need some help from a kicking friend :banana:. You can also turn it a mm and kick, another mm and kick and so on.

Hmm, I had a 2011 with the Mikuni injection but never touched the TPS. Since then only Keihin bikes. The TPS should be able to adjust. Loosen the bolts a turn and try to turn it by hand. I have never heard of a TPS with no adjusting possibilities. The mounting holes should be oval? If not I cant help you :confused:.

TPS on a 2011 TE310 has no adjustments, it can be adjusted with Ibeat and the cable.
