• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Husqvarna TC150

TE still Husky-Berg istic, TC has moved into the separate entity Husqvarna. The Mag testers are mentioning the power of the premium brand (Husky) is now the same or better than their KTM cousins, so the airbox breathing must be improved with the new design subframe/ bodywork package. (that comment was made about the 4 stroke FC machines)

2016 TE125 is still the old design.....

Think you hit the nail on the head there Norman ! It definatly didnt have the new motor looking at that pic although it was a 2016 bought bike and all I did was to retreive it from the bottom of a vally as the lad couldnt get it out .due to being well sunk in mire lol

I rode that bike at the Bill's Husky weekend over in Central Oregon last fall and couldn't believe how much fun it was!

Rumor has it that the new engine can't be turned into a 165, is that right?

I'm wondering how a new TC 144 will compare to the old WB 165…any thoughts?

I've ridden a '16 150SX in some typical northeast enduro conditions and it isn't as powerful as my '09 WR165, but it is a very good 144.

From Walt's first post in this thread....
"Possible 155 big bore kit but only if Husky is going to offer a stock 144cc equipped model"

That's nuts! $100 different between the bike 125sx150sx 800 for that Good thing I have to wait until next year maybe they will have a 150!

Remember we got the 144 kit free in 2013 with a slide some jet's, gaskets and power valve.
On another note Enduro Engineering has protection out finally. I had to order it buy part number as the dealer didn't have any thing on it yet, they also have Husky so it fit's both.
My Suspension is done new cones in the bottom and clickers top and bottom instead of just up top along with a revalve on the shock.

The only advantage I saw was my case was not machined for electric start, just cast. Now if Husky had put the 150 top on it's 125 I would have had to think twice.
Until we start getting different parts on them I don't see the advantage other than the orange one's price was lower.

Can't argue with that... I'm the illogical one here!:oldman:
