• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

LUPINO TAKES THE LEAD OF THE INTERNATIONAL ITALIAN MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP MX2
Thanks to a second place in the MX2 class at the second round of the International Italian Championship, which took place in Arco di Trento, Alessandro Lupino took the lead in the championship standings.
With the TC250 of the Husqvarna Motocross Racing Team by Ricci “Lupo” started very well and kept the lead until two laps from the end when he was overtaken by Charlier.
"I had arm pump since the third lap and I had to slow down,” Lupino said after the race. “Apart from this problem physically I feel fine. I am happy to be in the lead of the class, it is a good start into the season."
The third round of the Italian motocross Championship will be held next Sunday in Castiglione del Lago (PG).
Provisional championship standings after 2 races: 1. Lupino (Husqvarna) p. 165, 2. Seewer (Suzuki) 130, 3. Monticelli (Suzuki) 125, 4. Charlier (Yamaha) 120, 5. Herlings (KTM) 120

the top tier competition is deep in this series so this is a good omen for the 2012 FIM MXGP season. The machine is developing well. as is Lupo. Just wished that the ML170 relationship panned out (but that's racing).
Just finishing ahead of Jeffrey Herlings is a tough feat let alone ahead of front runner Chris Charlier and 2011 AMA MX/SX rider Ivo Monticelli. The bike is in the game for sure now.
