  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello. Cannot find any topic of gearboxes in here forum...
I just think this, now i know 2 husky where has gearboxes bits and pieces come with oil chaige , the other has about 11-12 000km and nother has 12 500km, both are 3 years old, both are main street use etc...
Well treated, other has do that 10 000km big open-up, to built hole engine in importer...But that is not that problem, only worrier is are Husky built bad gear sprockets in gearboxes, becouse about same year has both bike built in factory???
That nother husky is today under use, even though there coming two pieces of gear out when the oil change was made. That dude is testing now how long it will go, there are no problems with the gears, nothing has come out of the other rubbish when the oil is changed

Has any one else has this problem

Ps.Sorry my bad english write skills:D

I think there are few threads about the gearboxes because almost no one has problems with them. The problem your friends has is relatively rare.

Cool, yes that is right.....Of course that service manual say in 10 000km in hole engine built-up, but it wonder if the gear sprockets will not last about 10 000km and 2 Huskys at about same year
stamps to gome factory line out. Same km readings. My buddy say now i can test how long that engine will last:D

Ou...I I forgot, i have about the same manufacture months of my friend bikes are and now i have in my 12 440km driven....Lets see how it will last
