• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Not good. Who cares if its photo shop or not. It says Husky and its a BMW. That anwers that.

got it. i would ride it looks like it would corner like a
monster but i do like Naga's version too. if it says
husqvarna on the side it has to be good right:confused:

Yes, now you're getting some where. :thinking: I agree with others that the exhaust would be better under the seat (with dual outlets), black frame, Ferrari red for a base color with some tasteful gold accents like the name and gunsight. That should do it.

This is kinda fun, especially since Kelly and Ripper are doing most of the work.:D
 
EICMA would have been a great place to show off the all new Husky 450/510 motor.

I wish Ducati would have bought Husqvarna. Imagine this with a Husqvarna 680 CC Desmo single and traction control (more like slide control)

If they only started with something like that I would have much more faith in them
But instead now I think that Husqvarnas top executives are a bunch of loonytoons for letting the world see something like that

Problem is now it looks like what we already have only with shorter suspension and a BMW motor…
Maybe if you keep tweaking it will have something to be proud of, got more free time cup cake?

I wouldn't get too excited/worried about this. I think the idea of a concept at a show like this is to guage industry/customer reaction to various design elements, not necessarily the bike as a whole. The elements that receive positive feedback will possibly get incorporated into new models and elements (such as that headlight fairing - imo) can be re-worked or forgotten. It also may be an indication to the industry that BMW/Husky is trying to drive innovation or some such thing. Of course, I could be completely wrong on this and someone in BMW thinks they are a designer.
 
You would think that the mix of German engineering and Italian design would produce a reliable piece of artwork. But that thing is the opposite of art........Fart?
 
WOW, please BMW do not restyle the huskys, leave that to the Italians****************************************

I don't think these styling abominations are so much a German thing as a BMW thing. Recent BMW cars have been pretty butt-ugly too, while M-B, VW-Audi-Porsche have turned out handsome vehicles. But somebody in Bavaria apparently thinks they are a designer...
