• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna riding gear available

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Got tired of waiting for Pro Grip stuff to be delivered by Jimmy Hoffa riding a unicorn so I called wonderful Peg at Metro Racing.
http://www.metroracing.com/
Asked if she could help out the Husky faithful. No problem. Jerseys in red in stock. See website for details. If borderline on a size...go one larger and also if you wear pads under jersey.

Pants are nice. Made by same guy who made JT stuff from finland before it got subbed out to South of Border back in the day. All leather writing. Nice suede knee inseams....definiteley not Taiwan crap here. Very similiar to how they were made if you other old farts remember. Not much either. Name on seat is optional (hey I am old school!) Same for pants too If borderline on a size...go one larger (even #'s) Includes hip pads. Can also bee done with all red front and "white" Husqvarna down front of thigh for those who avert white due to lots of muddy riding time.

You can contact Peg to order or use and support your friendly local bike shop if they are a Metro Dealer.

(yes I know I need to shed 5 "winter pounds"... it was a rough winter here!)

If Steve had been wearing his nice snag-resistant Metro pants, the Germans probably wouldn't have caught him in that barbed wire...

I think the bike's suspension, or lack thereof, may have contributed to Steve's inability to clear the wires.... :D:lol: INTO Zee Coola!

looks like they have a pretty good selection.

Peggy at Metro tells me Corporate (BMW) will not license Husqvqrna Riding Gear and Metro is no longer offering it. Bummer!
Guess I waited to long.

Never mind that last post. I just read the whole strand and realize the question was already answered. So the next question, do you know where I can get Husky riding gear that can be customized with your name?
