Husqvarna
Pro Class
Lets face it, you don't walk into your local John Deere dealership, to buy a tractor, and have the salesman tell you that you can't get a mower, loader, rototiller, snowblower and etc...... for it, right? He says,"you have to wait till the attachments/ suppliers come out with them in a year or two down the road"? You'd probably go to your local Kubota dealer and buy one of theirs, correct? Why, cause they have everything? You might not need the snowblower, if you live in Las Vegas, though!
So in a dream world, this is what I'd like to see Husqvarna do:
Basically, your new bike is sitting in a crate, back in the shop. It has no forks, wheels, tires, sprockets, plastics, tank seat, handlebars and etc..... on it. Why pay for stuff you won't use, correct?
All the dealer has on display, are totally blinged out Huskys.
The salesman comes up to you and asks you if your ready to build your bike?
Absolutely!
You should be able to go over to several displays/sections in order to build your own personalized bike, for your preferences?
1st, you pick out your suspension. Ohlins, Marzocchi, Showa, along with proper springs.
2nd, you pick out your handlebars/levers/throttle/grips, etc''''. Height, Width, Bend, Etc.......
3rd, you pick out your rims, hubs, tires, brake rotors, chain and sprockets size and etc.......
4th, you pick out your fuel tank size/color.
5th, you pick out your seat. Stepped, lowered, seat cover/color, etc......
6th, you pick out your foot pegs and your shifter/brake lever. Height, width, length and cleats
7th, You pick out your plastics and graphics.
8th, you pick out any upgraded engine packages/bling stuff. Pipes, big bore kits, programmers, covers, etc......
9th, You pick out your bike armour. Radiator braces, skid plates, bark busters, etc.........
10th, Now you go to a gear section to pick out your Husqvarna boots, goggles, jersies, pants, back packs, riding jackets, t-shirts and the list goes on.
In other words, all this stuff is in stock and your bike is ready for pick up in a week.
It would need a knowledgable staff/ good point of sale displays.
I think you'd send all the other companies scrambling!
