• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I thought that I had heard of everything, but I never heard of that. Probably not a very catchy marketing name for sure, though. Nonetheless....I want one.

Wow, thats timely, just last week or so i was looking through some web sites and saw one. I guess the dude build those uni frames, pretty cool. The expansion chamber is integrated into the frame. Gustav Flink also built one with his own engine, the dude had some time on his hands and was passionate.

here is a bunch of info for you...

I take it the bike was on display and not for sale at the swap meet, eh?

I think I've heard of every motorcycle marque, but not this one.

Yeah it was in the "Judged" show section... "Display only" I've been around a while myself and never heard of that one.... here's a few other pics.
Man all I could do was walk around and drooooolllllll

Nice bikes.
Did a bunch of restorations myself some years ago.

The huskys are really nice, a Rickman, and the BSA is cool. I always wanted a 'Victor'.

:applause:

Yeah, I want to build a Goldstar Metisse myself, or even an ABSAF****************************************! They're a BSA engine remake and they are unbelieveable****************************************!!

Those big single BSA's are coooool. I saw a guy at a local indoor arenacross haul on one and was jumping it pretty good, i was in shock.

I hear ya**************************************** and you kickstart and use a manual spark advance and a manual compression release. Those were men man****************************************! I had 3 of them back in the day. I figure I moved the Mojave Desert over about a half an inch over the years, and with my 610, I moved it back****************************************! LOL....

They had that bike and about 18 more at the Husqvarna dealer open house. They had a 500 twin also very cool.Rumor has it that they have been offered over 150k for that bike {the flink}by collectors.

The Flink is not that uncommon in Sweden they also built a 350 the motors were cart engines. Several have been offered to me to buy but they just do not blow my dress up. They also came in blue, same blue as the Swedish flag.. I will look for the photos of the ones that have been offered to me, might have deleted them??

Here is a photo of my Trio. It was a favorite thing for some Swedish company`s to incorporate the exhaust into the frame.w023.jpg

Scott, a couple photos. Sten Lundin helped me quite a bit on this project this was his 1957-59 racing bike. This is the real deal, frame is correct color, seat untouched original leather, what i could leave alone i did.... Dave.

I know it is the real deal. That's why I asked. Beautiful bike. I was just wondering how far you have gotten on it.

Scott
